We found morel mushrooms in our yard! IN OUR YARD!! They were right under our noses, on the edge of our patio. No hunting involved. On a beautiful Saturday evening Mike went out and collected our bounty. We then soaked them in slightly salted cold water for about an hour, dredged them in flour, and fried them in butter. They were served alongside a delightful salad.
Look at that little guy peeking out behind the violet!
OK, I realize they look disgusting here. That is the worst picture, ever. But trust me, they were delish!
